Reservations
Booking Guarantee
Full Payment is taken from your debit/credit card upon booking to guarantee the booking. The booking is fully refundable up until 48 hours before when booking over the phone. There is no cancellation charge if the booking is cancelled 48 hours prior to your date of arrival. If the booking is cancelled later, or in the case of a no-show, full payment will be charged.
Pre-authorization
On arrival you will be required to present a credit or debit card which will be swiped as part of a pre-authorisation of 1p per bedroom. Please note we require a physical card, we are unable to process this transaction using digital/mobile payment devices. This will put a temporary hold on funds, meaning the cardholder cannot use this money elsewhere. Please note that the hotel does not receive this money; it is held by the card issuing bank. On the morning of departure, the pre-authorisation will be reversed upon completion of check out and the held funds will be released back to the cardholder. This is usually immediate but can take longer with some debit cards and is usually returned within 3-5 working days. The hotel is also a cashless business.
Cancellations
Our cancellations terms are:
- We have flexible terms and conditions for all individual bookings whereby you can cancel 48 hours prior to arrival for a full refund. We advise all guests to take travel insurance during these unpredictable times. Flexible terms are unavailable for Advance Purchase bookings.
- Any bookings made directly with the hotel which are cancelled after 3pm 2 days prior to arrival will be charged the cost of the first night, should the booking extend beyond one night.
- For bookings of 6 nights or more, and group bookings of 6 bedrooms or more, alternative terms of conditions apply. Please contact the hotel directly for more information. We advise you to take out insurance cover.
- All bookings made with an Agent (booking.com, expedia etc) will have the cancellation Terms & Conditions in the booking confirmation they will have sent to confirm the booking (if these is not available, please contact the agent directly for the details)
- Should it be necessary to cancel your reservation, you are required to contact the Hotel at which time a cancellation reference will be issued by email. This must be retained for reference and is proof of your cancellation.
Hotel Proprietors Act 1956
Loss of or Damage to Guests' Property
Under the Hotel Proprietors Act 1956, a hotel proprietor may in certain circumstances be liable to make good any loss of or damage to a guest's property even though it was not due to any fault of the proprietor or staff of the hotel.
This liability however:
- extends only to the property of guests who have engaged sleeping accommodation at the hotel
- is limited to £50 for any one article and a total of £100 in the case of any one guest, except in the case of property which has been deposited, or offered for deposit, for safe custody
- does not cover motor-cars or other vehicles of any kind or any property left in them, or horses or other live animals
This notice does not constitute an admission either that the Act applies to this hotel or that liability there under attaches to the proprietor of this hotel in any particular case.
